Riley is 10 mo. Old.

Riley turned 10 mo. on May 2nd. She is getting so big. She started crawling about 3weeks ago. She's starting to get into everything.  We had to get out the playyard aka "the cage". She is saying Mama, Dada, baba, something like "what's that". Riley shakes her head no, claps, raises her arms up over her head, waves hi and bye, and lots more. She likes to immitate what you do and say. She is such a curious active baby. She pulls herself up on everything too. She sleeps through the night about 1/2 the time. She loves putting everything in her mouth. She still only has 2 bottom teeth. She can be a handful and throw fits. She lets you know when she is not happy. Overall she's a happy little girl though.

California/Disney Spring Break

The kids had spring break April 4-9th and we decided (very last minute) to go to California and visit Jason and Kate, do the car show fun stuff, and most of all-take the kids to Disneyland and California Adventure. It was a long drive, but we had tons of fun.  I'm so excited that we got to finally go to Disneyland this year.  Chris and my 15th Anniversary is coming up the end of the month and we thought we could also make this trip an Anniversary get away for the whole family.  Last time we went to Disneyland it was our 10 year Anniversary get away with just Holly.  So hopefully we can make it a 5 year tradition to take the kids to Disneyland-we will see.  We did a lot with the short amount of time that we had. 

Riley is 9mo. old

Riley turned 9 mo. old on April 2nd.  She is such an active little girl.  She is still army crawling, she gets up on her knees, but then falls back down on her belly to get around.  She is pulling herself up on everything now.  She is very curious and can move around very well in her walker.  Riley loves to play with her siblings.  She is sleeping through the night- most nights.  She is a very wiggly girl, but then loves to be held.  She is just taking it all in and learning so much.  She says mama, dada, shakes her head "no" and claps.  She weighs 19.5 lbs.

 Easter Sunday

Easter

I'm kindof behind on my blogs.  So I'm going to catch up now-starting with Easter which was Sunday March 31st this year.  The kids got to find their baskets in the morning and then it was a rush to get ready for church-where the kids got to wear their Easter outfits.  After church we got ready for dinner and an egg hunt with family.  The kids had an egg hunt and the adults had an egg hunt too. 

Riley is 8 mo. Old

Riley turned 8 mo. Old on March 2nd. She is growing up so fast. She is doing great with eating baby food. Her favorite is still oatmeal. She makes noise with each spoonful she eats. She started saying DADA more. She says Dada, baba. She only says mama when she's upset.  Riley is teething. She just got her first bottom tooth and the next bottom tooth is now coming in. She is so cranky with teething.  Riley measures 27" in length and weighs 19.5 lbs. She is not crawling yet, but she army crawls, rolls all over the floor, and pulls herself forward on her belly. She is very determined to get something that she wants. Riley started doing this scream cry when she wants attention.  I'm not sure how to break that. She can hold her bottle and can almost feed herself.  She has developed so much in just a month. Riley loves the bouncer. We just got that out a couple days ago. She loves bouncing and then falls asleep in it. She definitely loves her family. We sure love her too.

Holly got her ears pierced

Holly wanted, as her birthday present from mom and dad, to get her ears pierced. I took her down to a local salon where they do piercing on Saturday February 9th. I told Holly what to expect. She was very brave. She got nervous right before, but still wanted to do it. The ladies that did it were great. Holly picked out gold hearts. She's been doing good keeping them clean.

Holly is 9 now

I haven't had a chance to post Holly 's Birthday.  Holly turned 9 on friday February 8th. Since her birthday was on a Friday I told Holly she could do a late night with 3 of her best friends.  She was very excited about it all week long. That night we made homeade pizzas for dinner, took everyone to Kiwi Loco so Holly could get her free Birthday yogurt, opened presents, and watched a movie. Then I took Holly's friends home about 10pm. Holly had a great birthday celebrating with family and her friends.
