Blackberry Festival/Car show

This last Sat. (Aug. 15th) was the Blackberry car show we have each year in Sutherlin. Chris and I took the kids to the car show after I got home from work. Holly had to get her face painted. The cruise was that night and we cruised in the Buick. Chris just painted it on Sat. and we got to show it off. It didn't turn out exactly like he planned, but I think it still looked good. It was fun to hang out with friends and family and see the cool cars.

We celebrated Rusty's Birthday Hawaiian style with friends and family and good food!

Douglas County Fair

The fair was Aug. 4th-8th and I went on Tues. to see Gretchen Wilson sing "Redneck Woman" and we went Wed. to see Huey Lewis and the News and then we went Sat. to take the kids for some rides and see the animals. I only took pic. of our day Sat. with the kids. Carson didn't like the train ride-it was a little fast. They stopped the ride so we could get him off. He did better with the helicopter ride since he was with Holly.

League Ranch

While Chris' cousin Rob and his wife Katy were visiting we went up to see what Chris' great-grandparents' ranch looks like. They owned a 1000 acre ranch off of the Umpqua River. Now it is subdivided and owned by a hippy commune. They let us come and visit the ranch. The house, barn, meat locker, and firewood area is still the same. There are several large maple trees that have been there forever. Soozee showed me some pictures that she had of when she was 5 years old visiting the ranch. It was neat to see the history and the changes of the Ranch.

Carson

Carson is such a car crazy kid. I wonder why that is? Chris put some of his car collection out on display. Carson can practically name all the cars. But he is also in touch with his feminine side. Carson got a hold of Holly's lip gloss and when Chris saw what he did-he couldn't resist getting pictures of it. This happened while I was gone! So when I got home that night-Chris said look at the pictures on the camera.

Trampoline fun!

I got the kids a Trampoline and they love it! Carson asks, "Jumping?" everyday practically. Carson can almost do a flip and Holly likes to twirl.

4th of July

So it has been awhile since I posted anything so I'm catching up. Starting with 4th of July weekend. We didn't do our usual, going to Idaho this year, which I was sad about, but we had fun at the Woodburn dragstrip watching Armdrop racing. Rich Christensen was there from the TV show PINKS. It was really cool and there were some seriously fast cars. We didn't make it back home to see the fireworks this year, but that's ok because the kids were falling asleep anyway.
