In loving memory of our dog Betty!

Betty has been part of our family for the past 7 years. She has loved Oregon because she had 5 acres to run on and felt free. She was the best dog. She was great with the kids and even loved the cats. She was our protector since she would always bark at any cars that went too fast down our road (our neighbors always had Betty running after them barking-probably because they went to fast). She could do all sorts of tricks and loved to hang out with us when we were working in the yard. She made friends with our neighbor dogs and they hung out together roaming the acreage shared. I went out to visit with Betty after work yesterday Tues. 23rd and Betty was in her dog house and she was already dead. I saw that she was injured and I think she got hit by a car and made it to her dog house. We buried her at the back of the property. I had to explain to Holly that she had died. It was a difficult day for us to say good-bye to our sweet dog. We'll miss you Betty girl!!!!

Father's day and weekend

We went to Medford on Friday 19th to go to the Drag races. There were a lot of cars running-it was pretty neat. Of course I was running around with Carson. Then we got tired and watched movies and played video games in the car while Chris and his dad kept watching the races. Then Sat. we went to the car show, shopping, and then the cruise downtown that night. It was a fun weekend and it was what Chris wanted to do! Then Sun. we ate at Chris' parents and had a BBQ with the family. Hope all you Fathers had a great day.

Hot Rod pedal car

We bought a pedal car for the kids. Holly does really well and Carson doesn't like to use the pedals. They both love it. Chris is already thinking of ways to repaint it and modify it.

Fishing trip on the Umpqua River

We went fishing on Sat. 13th with Amy, Rusty, Michael, Emily and their kids and Daisy (their dog). Michael knew of a great spot that was on private property. It was a beautiful area and we had it all to ourselves. Everyone was catching fish-Rusty practically caught one everytime he cast out, Holly caught one on her 2nd try, except I wasn't having much luck. I tried and tried and then finally I caught one!!! We were catching small mouth bass. The kids had lots of fun running around on the rocks and then splashing in the mossy water. It was such a fun day. I can't wait to do it again.

Carson and his Superman PJs

Amy got Carson some Superman PJs and he loves them! He was running around the house and turning his head to see his cape fly behind him. It was so cute to watch him and then the next day he wouldn't let me take his Superman shirt off, so I just let him wear it for the day and on our fishing trip.

Primary Talent Show

We had a Primary Talent show activity and since I couldn't get Holly to sing Taylor Swift "Love Story" she wanted to share her drawings. She drew 4 pictures and shared them with the audience. She is a very good artist-takes after her daddy. She was all nervous, but did it. And then us leaders shared our talent. We did a Sequenized swimming skit and the kids didn't know what to think of it. There was some laughing, but I think the kids were in shock to see how silly the leaders were. It was fun and we were laughing hysterically while doing it! It was a fun night and then later-on the way home Holly said she will sing next time.
