Brigham City Temple open house

I went with my Dad down to Brigham City to see the Temple and go through before it's dedicated. It is a very Beautiful Temple and has nice detail. There were a ton of people. The Temple is across from the Tabernacle and we watched a video which shared some history of Brigham City.  I brought Shelby and Riley. Shelby enjoyed hanging out with Grandpa and seeing the Temple. Shelby would point to the Angel Moroni and said, " Jesus". I was trying to tell her it wasn't Jesus but Moroni. I'm glad we got to go.

Love this picture of Riley

I absolutely love this picture that my cousin Dana took of Riley while we were in California at my Grandma Jones' 90th Birthday party.  Thanks Dana.  Isn't she precious?  Riley is doing better with sleeping at night.  She slept in her bassinet last night for 6 hours straight.  Yeah!  Chris may soon be able to sleep in his own bed and off the couch.

Back to school

Yesterday was the first day of school. Holly is in 3rd grade and Carson started Kindergarten.  Chris and I dropped them off. Carson goes to the afternoon K class. I couldn't help myself when we dropped Carson off and they lined up to go to class- I got emotional and cried a little. Carson was such a big boy and was so excited. He already made a friend. I'm excited for school to be in session.

Riley and her many expressions

Riley was in a good mood one afternoon so I ran for the camera and just started taking pictures.  She is growing so fast and she has such a cute personality already.  Riley is 6 weeks old and I just love when I talk to her she lights up!  Like she did in these pictures.

Trip to the Zoo

The kids and I needed to get out of the house and go do something this last Sat.  So-I took the kids to the Zoo at Tautphus Park in Idaho Falls.  It's a small zoo, but it's fun for a Saturday afternoon.  It was Shelby's and Riley's first trip to the zoo-so that was fun.  Fun for Shelby to experience anyway.  Shelby liked the monkeys. Carson has been to the zoo in Portland-but he was too young.  So Carson thought it was his first time to the zoo.

Trip to California

I went to California for my Grandma's 90th Birthday party.  I went with Denise, Macey, Nicole, my parents, and I brought baby Riley.  We all piled in Denise's van.  It was a tight fit-since the van was full, and a long trip.  We left on Thurs. Aug. 2nd and got home Mon. Aug. 6th.  We drove a total of 4 days and had 1 day of fun on Sat.  It was worth the trip even with all the driving. It was nice to be there to see my grandparents, Aunts, Uncle, Cousins, and their families.  We got to Avala Beach on Fri. night for a great dinner where we got to hang out with family.  Then Sat. we drove around and saw the sights of San Luis Obispo that we remember from our many trips to visit my grandparents.  Denise wanted to show Macey what she remembers from visiting my grandparents in SLO when we were kids.  We first started off with going to Cal Poly to see the animals.  We saw the cows, pigs, horses, and even a turtle.  Then we went out to see the elephant seals.  We ate lunch in Morro Bay next-of course we had fish and chips at the usual place that my Grandparents always took us too.  Then we went to the party for my Grandma.  We had dinner there and my Aunt Cathy put together a program.  My Dad and Aunt Cathy sang a song for my grandparents.  It was really cute.  Then we all sang Happy Birthday to my Grandma.  I got choked up during that. Just seeing my Grandparents and realizing how much they both mean to me.  Then Aunt Cathy presented my Grandma with a book that she made with all the families pictures and letters to my Grandma.  We took pictures of the family and then everyone went on their ways.  We went downtown to Bubblegum Alley that night to stick our ABC gum on the wall.  We left to head back home on Sun.  and got home Mon. night.  We stayed at State Line (Buffalo Bills) on the way there and back to break up the driving.  I spent most of the trip taking care of Riley and feeding her whenever we stopped.  She did very well on her first trip!  It was a fun trip and it was nice hanging out with my sisters!

 Avala Beach
Macey and I were real cozy in the back seat of the van for the entire trip.  She was such a trooper!
Riley did a lot of this during the trip.
This was my view for 4 days-in the van!!
At the BBQ Fri. night.  My Grandma was very excited to see all her family!
They are just so cute together-I love seeing how my Grandma cares for my Grandpa.

This was the coolest picture of the clouds.

Cal Poly-this calf is only a couple days old and I love the perfect heart shape on it's head!
 Elephant seals!

 Morro Bay rock
Riley baby at the Party (at Cuesta Park)
My Dad and Aunt Cathy singing their song.  It was really cute!  My Grandma was smiling the entire time.
 The Jones Family
Everyone who came to the party-Extended Jones Family
More Jones Family-but just our family with Grandma
I'm glad that we were able to take all the family pictures.
And then Bubble Gum Alley!!  Ya it was gross-but a landmark.  We all put our gum on the wall.

Happy Birthday Grandma Jones!!!!
