Amy and Rusty came to visit for a weekend. We took them to Yellowstone on Saturday and had a fun filled day and got to eat buffalo burgers. The kids got to play and hang out in our basement. I enjoyed the time we had to visit. It was sad to see them go. Carson cried. Hopefully we will see them soon.
Happy Father's day to Chris, my wonderful husband and father to our 4 beautiful children. I am so lucky to have such a great guy and loving father to our kids. Chris is very much involved with the kids and teaches them so much. I love my family so much.
Riley is so much fun now. She is crawling really good and stands on her own. The other day she took a step and then fell. She is getting close to walking already. She makes lots of different noises. She claps, gives 5, and knows where her binky is. It's really funny when you ask her where her binky is she tries to give it to you. She is finally sleeping through the night now. I love it! Riley weighs 20 1/2 lbs. and measures 27 1/2 in. long. She is so sweet and also adventurous. She gets into all the cabinets. We just love her. I can't believe how big she is already.
Riley turned 10 mo. on May 2nd. She is getting so big. She started crawling about 3weeks ago. She's starting to get into everything. We had to get out the playyard aka "the cage". She is saying Mama, Dada, baba, something like "what's that". Riley shakes her head no, claps, raises her arms up over her head, waves hi and bye, and lots more. She likes to immitate what you do and say. She is such a curious active baby. She pulls herself up on everything too. She sleeps through the night about 1/2 the time. She loves putting everything in her mouth. She still only has 2 bottom teeth. She can be a handful and throw fits. She lets you know when she is not happy. Overall she's a happy little girl though.
Riley turned 8 mo. Old on March 2nd. She is growing up so fast. She is doing great with eating baby food. Her favorite is still oatmeal. She makes noise with each spoonful she eats. She started saying DADA more. She says Dada, baba. She only says mama when she's upset. Riley is teething. She just got her first bottom tooth and the next bottom tooth is now coming in. She is so cranky with teething. Riley measures 27" in length and weighs 19.5 lbs. She is not crawling yet, but she army crawls, rolls all over the floor, and pulls herself forward on her belly. She is very determined to get something that she wants. Riley started doing this scream cry when she wants attention. I'm not sure how to break that. She can hold her bottle and can almost feed herself. She has developed so much in just a month. Riley loves the bouncer. We just got that out a couple days ago. She loves bouncing and then falls asleep in it. She definitely loves her family. We sure love her too.
Holly wanted, as her birthday present from mom and dad, to get her ears pierced. I took her down to a local salon where they do piercing on Saturday February 9th. I told Holly what to expect. She was very brave. She got nervous right before, but still wanted to do it. The ladies that did it were great. Holly picked out gold hearts. She's been doing good keeping them clean.
I haven't had a chance to post Holly 's Birthday. Holly turned 9 on friday February 8th. Since her birthday was on a Friday I told Holly she could do a late night with 3 of her best friends. She was very excited about it all week long. That night we made homeade pizzas for dinner, took everyone to Kiwi Loco so Holly could get her free Birthday yogurt, opened presents, and watched a movie. Then I took Holly's friends home about 10pm. Holly had a great birthday celebrating with family and her friends.
Riley is such a fun baby. She's eating oatmeal and rice cereal very well. She loves oatmeal, which I give her in the mornings. This last month has been rough with Riley being sick and needing albuterol breathing treatments. She's been so stuffy and coughing lately that she's been waking up at night. Which has been hard for me. This picture is at the Doctors today- waiting to get medicine so Riley can get over this cold fast. Poor baby. She hates the booger sucker. Riley weighs 17.5 lbs. She's been gaining about a pound a month. She rolls all over the floor and is getting ready to crawl soon. We just love her so much.
Carson turned 6 today. The kids didn't have school today because it was a snow day. So Carson got to play all day. Then go out for quesadillas at Costa Vida and his free frozen yogurt at Kiwi Loco. Happy Bday Carsonboy.
Another Birthday! Well we went to SLC for New Year's and did some shopping. That was kindof for my Birthday. But my actual day I ended having to work. Got off late from work and Chris has the flu. So I took Holly, Carson, and Shelby out for pizza and then Kiwi Loco for my free frozen yogurt. Going to Kiwi Loco has become a tradition for us on our birthday in our family. Chris is going to take me out this weekend for dinner and shopping for my b-day present.
