Our new baby girl-Riley Suzanne Hickman

On July 2, 2012 at 3:15 pm, Riley Suzanne Hickman was born.  Weight: 7 lbs. 15 oz. Length: 19 in. I wanted to be induced a week early because I always have big babies.  So I was told call the hospital at 5 am to see if they could get me in.  Little did I know that the hospital had me scheduled at 6:30 am to come in to be induced.  So-Chris and I headed off to the hospital to have our baby girl.  They induced me at 7:30 am and nothing was really happening.  I was having contractions, but I wasn't progressing.  So-my midwife broke my water at 2pm.  After that it only took an hour and fifteen minutes and the midwife didn't even make it back.  My nurse, Barbara, delivered my baby girl.  I hope I get a discount for that!  It went so fast and 2 pushes, Riley was born.  She started crying right away.  She's so little and sweet. And oh my goodness, does she have HAIR!  She's my first baby to have hair.  I think she looks like her Daddy-looks like a Hickman.  She's a really good eater already.  The kids are very excited about a new sister.  Holly is so excited to be my big helper, Carson is excited and loves to kiss her, Shelby says baby all the time, but I can see that Shelby is a little jealous.  Chris and I are already calling the girls all the wrong names.  I keep calling Riley-Shelby and Holly--Shelby.  We will get it straight some day-or not, whatever.

I came home this afternoon with Riley and now get to enjoy my new baby girl.  I already feel good, just tired.

 And Riley makes 4!
 Happy parents
 My cute kids
Look at that cute little face.  Mr Magoo just like Holly!!
Going with the car theme....Chris and I chose Riley because Riley is a company that sells Model A speed equipment, high performance parts-to go along with a car name theme.  Riley also means Valiant-and I use to drive a '68 Plymouth Valiant.  Her initials are RS, like Raleigh Sport.  Girl names are harder to come up with, but Chris and I both really liked Riley when we were thinking of names.

Welcome to our family Riley!!!!  We are so blessed to have you.

Ready for baby!

I look huge in this picture!!!  I haven't taken any pictures of me pregnant with baby #4-until now.  So-Holly took my picture a couple days ago.  Not only do I look huge I feel it too.  I'm suppose to go in tomorrow to be induced.  I'm crossing my fingers that I can get in tomorrow and not have to wait any longer.  I'm very tired, swollen, and cranky!  Our little baby girl will be here soon.  I'm very excited!

4th of July celebration at Huntsman Springs

Happy 4th of July in a couple days.  We went to Huntsman's Springs, Driggs ID area on Saturday for a day full of fun to celebrate the 4th.  It's nice that they have the event on Saturday.  It was a really awesome event.  The entire show was free, except the food.  They had about 20 bouncy houses, an Airshow, a Carshow, a BMX stunt show, a Hypnotist show, etc.  It was a hot day, but I actually didn't swell too bad being 9mo. pregnant.  There were a lot of people, but everyone was nice and considerate.  The evening show was filled with a live band, speakers, and then an awesome fireworks show.  It was very patriotic which I thought was good for the kids to understand the importance of why we celebrate the 4th of July.   The Huntsman family were also raising money for a cure for cancer, so they spoke about that, and it was touching to hear some stories.   I think this will be a new tradition for us to go every year.

The kids stayed out of the sun sitting in the wagon.
 Watching the airshow.
This Oakley plane was doing a lot of stunts.
Carson wanted to try the bungy run.  It was funny to watch him be so determined to run far before he got pulled back.
Kids got facepainting.  Shelby is showing off her butterfly.

Carson wanted to try the bull riding bouncy.  He wanted to go slow and I kept saying go faster.  He didn't get tossed off like some of the kids did.  We waited in line for a 1/2 hour for this ride, but I guess Carson thought it was worth it.
After all the activities we went back to our spot and waited for the evening activities to start.  We got to hang out and relax for a few hours after being in the sun all day.

Huntsman's Springs is really pretty and right here you see the Teton mountains.

Watching the fireworks show.  Which was AWESOME!!

Shelby got a little scared so she came to sit with her Daddy where she watched the rest of the show.

We had a great time.  I'm really glad that we went even with how huge I am and ready to have a baby anyday.  I'd rather be doing something fun with the family then sit at home and wait for her to come.  The kids had a good time.  And at least we got to do something for 4th of July since on the 4th I think I'll be home with a newborn.
